Students develop core academic skills that transfer to a four-year institution while also spending time in the classroom and out in the field learning about animal science. In several of our animal science classes we offer hands-on livestock projects for students to apply what they are learning. These projects allow students an opportunity to learn about the day-to-day operations in the animal science industries as well as finding those areas of interest they are truly passionate about. Courses include Introduction to Animal Science, Livestock Practicum, Anatomy and Physiology, Feeds and Feeding in addition to Live Animal and Carcass Evaluation.
