Welcome to Nursing at CNCC
At CNCC, we believe that nursing is both an art and a science. Becoming a nurse demands an interest and aptitude for science, well-developed critical thinking and technical skills, and the ability to provide human comfort and kindness. Our mission is to provide a high-quality education that prepares graduates to become competent nursing professionals who deliver the full spectrum of nursing care to diverse populations in an ever-changing healthcare environment. One aspect that truly sets the CNCC Nursing Program apart is our commitment to customer service and student advising. In addition, the applicant pool from which we admit students is relatively low compared to other nursing programs. If you meet all the requirements for admission, chances are good you'll be accepted right away. As a vital part of CNCC's Craig Campus, the Nursing program offers an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree. Graduates are eligible to take the National Council of State Board of Nursing Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN) to become licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN). CNCC also offers an affiliated Nurse Aide course. Following completion of the four-credit classroom/lab and concurrent one-credit clinical courses, students become eligible to take a Nurse Aide Certification Exam to become a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA).
CNCC Guaranteed Admission Program
CNCC also has a guaranteed admission program where students can reserve their place in the nursing program by completing pre-requisite courses at CNCC. For more information click the Guaranteed Admission Program.
