Arts and Sciences (AA / AS)

Arts and Sciences are at the core of instruction at Colorado Northwestern. Every degree program begins with a foundation in the Arts & Sciences. From Sciences and Mathematics, to Literature, and the Arts, students graduating from CNCC have a remarkably solid base on which to continue their education. Between world-class faculty and cutting-edge facilities, CNCC is on par with the best of colleges in the nation. The dedicated faculty here thrive on small class sizes, flexibility in the classroom and they take advantage of the unique environment in Northwest Colorado.

The core science faculty focus on preparing students for a number of health care related fields, and offer plans of study for Pre-Dental Hygiene, Pre-Nursing, and offer the core courses required for many other health care related occupations. Don't see the exact degree you're looking for? The beauty of CNCC is that it's possible to customize a degree program just for you. Whether your interests lie in Marine Science, or Molecular Paleontology, there is likely a program of courses that we can design for you. Our team of knowledgeable transfer counselors can help you coordinate your degree to make sure you get the maximum credit transfers available.

The Craig Campus provide multiple avenues for creative expression and fun. With a fully equipped ceramics studio, and a well designed visual arts suite, the Craig Campus has attracted nationally-acclaimed painters, photographers and sculptors to enrich their gifts. The surrounding Craig community has a robust creative core that is a valuable asset to the college and it's students.

About CNCC

Colorado Northwestern is one college in two Colorado communities. Depending on what you want to study, CNCC has the perfect surroundings and facilities to meet your needs. Founded in 1962 as “Rangely College,” CNCC now serves nearly 1,800 students on two campuses, two service centers and online. Our two campuses are located in Craig and Rangely and are 90 miles apart in the mountains and canyons of Northwestern Colorado.
