About the Agriculture Program Degrees at CNCC

CNCC sits in the heart of rural agriculture and western culture, and we utilize these facets in our classroom. Here, you can choose between three different transfer degrees, or our applied degree. The agriculture degrees include associate of science in agriculture business, an associate of science in animal science, or an associate of science in equine science. These degrees are fully transferable to Colorado State University and have common transferability to land grant institutions where these degrees could transfer to the bachelor’s level. Our applied degree in Livestock and Ranch Management is geared for students to mov through classroom instruction, to internships, and hopefully job placement. The agriculture program also offers several certificates in agriculture science and equine science that covers general introductory level courses.

Exciting Agriculture Program Highlights

  • We have a low instructor to student ratio – we often have 5-10 students in majority of the classes. There are a few that may have a little more, but it is only 1 or 2 classes of all the program classes you would take.
  • Our instructors are the BEST! They put in countless hours of their time to work with students on their coursework. This could be at the barn, or in the classroom. They truly want to see everyone succeed, and a student’s success is really in their own hands. Our instructors will help turn their goals into reality.
  • You can bring your horse to college with you! Riding and training classes are offered as electives for various programs of study.

Our instructors strive to provide hands-on real-world application in the classroom. Students work through real-life problems, participate during field trips with local producers, and create their own supervised agricultural experiences.

CNCC delivers many of our lecture-based classes via a new Hy-Flex format where students can teleconference into live class from distant locations.
