In lieu of Accuplacer test scores, CNCC will use one or all of the following measures to determine placement.
- Math classes up to MAT 121: College Algebra and MAT 135: Intro to Statistics
- An unweighted cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher or a B or higher in Algebra ll, Geometry or Pre-Calculus
- PSAT score of <500 on the mathematics section
- Completion of the Math Self-Assessment Questionnaire. Link -Math
- English 121: English Composition I and other composition-related classes such as Psychology, Humanities, History, etc.
- An unweighted cumulative GPA or 3.0 or higher or a B or higher in junior-year level English
- PSAT score of <470 on the writing/language section
- Completion of the English Self-Assessment Questionnaire Link -English
