Classroom Attire

Our objective is to achieve a uniform appearance and official presence such as you will be required to maintain with the National Park Service. The first day of class trainees are expected to wear professional business attire (Suit, tie, dress shirt, dress pant, business suit or dress). After the first day, all trainees are expected to wear the academy uniform shirt, uniform pants, brown belt, and cordovan boots while in class or during practical field exercises (Contact staff for ordering instructions). We also require all trainees to wear the duty gear provided to become accustomed to wearing a duty belt at all times.

Students are responsible for supplying the following:
  • Proof of a valid Driver's License
  • 1 pair of brown hiking boot (leather)*
  • Brown (Leather or Nylon) belt*
  • Flashlight and headlamp
  • Uniform Pants (4)
  • Pens, pencils, paper
  • Athletic running shoes and Mat shoes for physical training and control tactics
  • Personal Items for use in the dormitory including bedding, linens, television, etc
  • Laptop Computer
  • Mouth guard
  • Groin protection
Academy will be provide the following gear:
  • Uniform Shirt (4)
  • Windbreaker (1)
  • Ballcap (1)
  • PT Shirt (3)
  • PT Short (1)
  • Sweatshirt (1)
  • Sweatpants (1)
  • Handcuffs **

Trainees may purchase additional clothing at a nominal cost. Academy provides duty belt, ammo pouches, ammunition, firearms, and other accessories.
