The CNCC Safety Department has been established to maintain a safe working and learning environment. Services provided by the department include campus patrols, evening facilities security, motorist assistance, and assistance in emergency situations. Safety personnel can be reached by calling 970-620-5112. Someone monitors that number 24/7 for both the Rangely and Craig Campuses. If immediate assistance is needed it is recommended to call 911.
The Safe Campus Office maintains a daily crime and fire log. The daily crime and fire log includes all criminal incidents, alleged criminal incidents, and fire-related incidents that are reported to or identified by the Safe Campus Office. The log includes the date and time the incident was reported and occurred. The log also includes the nature of the incident, the general location of the incident, and the disposition of the complaint. The daily crime and fire log is a live document, and can be requested from the Safe Campus Coordinator by anyone in the public, a student, staff or faculty member. The law requires the log to be updated within two days of a crime or fire that occurred on campus.
