Student Leadership

What is a Student Ambassador? A Student Ambassador is a dependable, dynamic, and outgoing individual who serves as the face of CNCC for potential and new students. 3 Student Ambassadors serve on the Craig Campus and 7 serve on the Rangely Campus. Student Ambassadors work 40 hours each semester. Student Ambassadors work closely with the Recruiting and Admissions department along with the Student Life and Activities Department. The ambassadors assist in recruiting new students through campus tours and some outreach (mail, phone calls, and recruiting events). Additionally, the ambassador team serves as Orientation Leaders for our New Student Orientation as well as assist in designing and organizing the orientation experience that will focus on teaching incoming students “The Spartan Way”. What is a Resident Assistant? A Resident Assistant (RA) is a student staff member of Colorado Northwestern who oversees a floor in 1 of our 3 residence halls. RA’s are responsible for building a community within their assigned residents, and enhance the overall experience of the students living on campus. These student staff members are the initial contact in the residence halls to help address any student concern or issues. Our goal is to have Resident Assistants make a happy, healthy, and a successful living space for our residence halls at CNCC. Learn more about being a Resident Assistant, click here.

What is Student Government? The Student Government Association (SGA) is an organization that provides opportunities to grow student’s leadership skills, enhance the college student body’s life, and develop and understanding of democratic government. The SGA is composed of students elected by their peers to represent the voice, and the interests of the student body through a variety of activities, and by building relationships with the local and school community.
