Checklist for Applicants

  • Student checklist is also available in Navigate
  • Remember the ABC’s of CNCC Email– ALWAYS BE CHECKING your CNCC student email. This is our most common method of communicating with you.
    *Students receive access to student email after registering for classes.
  • Send Transcript(s)—High school transcripts are only required if enrolling within 5 years of graduation. Sending transcripts may allow you to skip placement testing. Additional transcripts may be required for specific programs. Visit Submit Your Credentials for more information.
  • Submit Immunization Records—if you are attending any classes at a residential CNCC campus. Get your Immunization Form on the Colorado State Web Portal.
  • Submit ACT, SAT, or Accuplacer Scores—If necessary, schedule an Accuplacer Test. For more information regarding when and where you can take the test visit, Placement Testing.
    • The following scores mean no further placement testing is needed. (SAT and ACT scores over 5 years old are not accepted.)
      • SAT - Math 500, Reading 430, English 470 - CNCC School Code 4665
      • ACT - Math 23, English 18, Reading 17 - CNCC ACT Code 0525
  • Get Credit for Previous College Work—Send your college transcripts to CNCC ASAP. Visit Transcripts for more information.
    • Take Advantage of college credit for AP classes with appropriate scores. Go to College Board to submit your AP classes to CNCC
  • Transcripts, ACT, SAT and Immunization records can be emailed, faxed or mailed to the information below.

  • Register with Selective Service (Male U.S. Citizens Only)—If a student is eligible for selective service, then by state law they must be registered in order to enroll in CNCC classes. You can register online at the Selective Services website.
  • Submit FAFSA—Applying for financial aid by May 1st is strongly recommended, as some funds are limited. Apply to FAFSA online.
  • Apply for Academic Scholarships —Deadline is August 1
    • Visit Scholarships Central for a wealth of information.
    • Due to the wide variety of scholarships, additional scholarship applications are sent out to student email accounts at various times throughout the year.
  • Complete Student Housing Application— Housing is limited. Discover the benefits of Living on Campus.The Housing Application is always available, however, room placement is done on a first come first serve basis. A $200 deposit is required to finalize room placement. You will be notified of your room assignment the week of July 1st.
