Position Overview:
The Academic Dean will be responsible for the coordination and supervision of instructional services and programs at the Rangely Campus, including career/technical education and transfer curriculum's. The Dean will ensure high levels of service to students, enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of instructional resources, and uphold high standards of instructional quality, working as a member of the CNCC administrative team.
Primary Duties:
- Coordinate key instructional activities for all academic programs on the Rangely Campus.
- Assist the Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs with accreditation activities required by the Higher Learning Commission.
- Supervise full-time and adjunct faculty on the Rangely campus and participate in hiring and evaluation processes.
- Develop and facilitate training and orientation for new faculty and ongoing professional development for all staff.
- Oversee the instructional course and final exam schedules following CNCC enrollment management standards.
- Review academic integrity violations and determine disciplinary actions in line with college policy.
- Handle student petitions regarding course changes and appeals.
- Manage budgets for supervised areas and oversee the Rangely Community Education Program.
- Collaborate with Student Affairs to enhance academic advising and learning support.
- Ensure compliance with relevant educational policies and laws.
- Participate in the administration of CNCC’s Perkins Grant program.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs.
Secondary Duties: Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum / Required Qualifications:
- Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in higher education administration, educational leadership, or an academic discipline taught at the college.
- At least 3 years of progressive administrative leadership experience in post-secondary education (e.g., Department Chair, Director, or Assistant Dean).
- At least 5 years of full-time, post-secondary teaching experience, preferably within a community college setting.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Additional coursework or training beyond the Master’s degree, or a Doctorate degree (Ph.D. or Ed.D.) from a regionally accredited institution.
- At least 5 years of progressive administrative leadership experience in post-secondary education (e.g., Department Chair, Director, or Assistant Dean).
- At least 7 years of full-time, post-secondary teaching experience, preferably within a community college setting.
- Proven track record of administrative oversight spanning both transfer-oriented General Education pathways and Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs.

Position Summary:

In this part-time role, you will provide instruction and evaluation in clinical, pre-clinical, laboratory, simulation, community-based, and patient-care-related settings. Your contribution will be crucial in supporting students' clinical skill development, ensuring patient safety, and promoting professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide instruction and supervision in assigned clinical, pre-clinical, laboratory, and patient-care learning environments.
- Prepare for instructional sessions, adhering to approved course syllabi and program expectations.
- Support students in developing their knowledge and skills in dental hygiene, clinical judgment, and patient-centered care.
- Observe, coach, and evaluate student performance, providing timely feedback.
- Maintain accurate records related to student evaluations and attendance.
- Participate in required communication and coordination processes to ensure clinic consistency and student support.
Qualifications:
- A degree in dental hygiene or a related field.
- Current licensure to practice as a dental hygienist in Colorado.
